Hello Happy Hedgehog families,
What a great month November was! Our fall festival and taco friendship lunch was a great success. Thank you everybody that contributed.
December is upon us and will be a busy month. We will start the month off with a gingerbread theme. We will be reading the story of the gingerbread man and there will be many activities to go with it.
The 11th through the 15th will be our special holiday activity week. We encourage the parents to participate in a special holiday activity of their choosing. Harper’s dad will be making Christmas pies with the children on Dec 12th. If you would like to do something with the children during this week, just let us know. It can be almost anything including reading a Christmas book, helping in a simple art project, sharing a special snack or whatever you’d like to do with the children. There will be a sign-up sheet if you wish to participate. It doesn’t have to be more than fifteen minutes.
On Wednesday, the 13th the Happy Hedgehogs will be having a holiday pancake breakfast where we will be watching “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.” On Thursday, the 14th, we will be having a pajama day where we will watch “Polar Express” and drink hot chocolate. On Friday, the 15th we will be having a book exchange (more information to come). We would like the children to bring a wrapped book, costing ten dollars or less, good for a girl or a boy. Also on Friday, we will be having a cookie decorating party. This week should a lot of fun.
Finally, on December 20th, Mr. Doug will sing Christmas songs for the children. That will be a real treat!
Days to remember:
-Pizza days are December 7th and 20th
-Ice cream days are December 4th and 28th
-School Closures: We will be closed December 21st through the 26th and January 1st and 2nd.
I hope everybody has a wonderful Holiday and New Year!
