Hello!  My name is Laura Rainey.  I am the Lead Teacher in the ‘Older 3’s – Young 4’s’ classroom.  Young preschool age children are truly my passion and joy as a teacher!  I am so excited to join the outstanding team of professionals at Child’s Way and look forward to a wonderful year with your children!  

I am a native Texan, raised in New Braunfels, and have resided in Austin with my husband Lloyd for the past 18 years.  We have two beautiful daughters, Brooke, 19 and Lindsey 17.  I have over six years experience in education to include home child-care, teaching special education preschool for A.I.S.D., art instruction for home-schooled students, as well as, working in grades K-6 as a substitute teacher.   In 1999 I completed the preparation & certification program through Region XIII, Education Service Center and obtained my certification as a Special Education teacher, PK-12, in the state of Texas.  I have had many unique opportunities to work with a diverse group of students and their families and loved the challenge of meeting each student’s individual needs.  I feel it is important to provide a classroom where children feel cared for and nurtured to grow and flourish, with each day an opportunity for students to discover more about themselves and our world!

My name is Amy Bouck. I am married and have a daughter named Zoe. Zoe has been coming to Child's Way for three years now. I had the honor to substitute teach for Child's Way in the past and quickly discovered what a great place and team they have hear at Child's Way. I am very proud to now be a part of their team and I hope to grow more working here. I have worked in the past at Bethany Lutherans Pre-school with the 3 and 4 year olds, as well as in the pre-K classroom. I have taken some early childhood development classes and I am currently thinking about enrolling back into early childhood education. I love spending time with my family and going to the movies. My hobbies are gardening, knitting and making jewelry.
